Fojetta

Indicazione di Origine Tipica

VIOGNIER

Wine obtained from the vinification of our best Viogner; to enhance the aromas we choose to work the grapes at low temperatures, that allow us to respect the natural freshness and balance of this grape.

Fojetta was the name given for the lead unit of measurement from 1/2 liter during the pontifical mandate of Papa Sisto V; it was used to indicate the sale of wine in Roman taverns in 1/2 liter volumes.

Curiosity

The international and super dry viognier has a genetically established relationship with piedmontese freesia, and is therefore also related to nebbiolo.

Pairings

Chicken, grilled sea bass, medium-seasoned cheeses, oysters and sea mussels.
