Curiosity
It is a dark grape variety, which has always been cultivated in the surroundings of Rome. The origins, not certain, but are very ancient. We can say that Cesanese is the Lazio red wine par excellence, much loved by the Romans, it was little known outside Lazio. In the dry version offers an important wine of great potential.
Pairings
It pairs wonderfully with red meat dishes, medium-aged cheeses, potato gnocchi, polenta with sausages or pork ribs, and game. In particular, it is perfect with the classics of Roman tradition: abbacchio alla romana, roast lamb, coda alla vaccinara, and roast porchetta.
